Medifast Review

The Medifast Diet is a weight loss plan that consists of a choice of five Medifast meals per day.  The plan has been around for decades and each meal has been used as a meal replacement.  This program offers a variety of foods and is tailored for the individual, who wants to lose weight.

Medifast meals include oatmeal, soups, bars, shakes, chips, puddings and more.  For example, one meal may consist of a small portion (5 ounces) of lean meat and 2 cups of vegetables.  These meals will be eaten regularly and are satisfying and very doable to the appetite.  Once you start ordering meals, you can order for two or four weeks of food.  These mini-meals can be kept track of through the sheets downloaded on the Medifast website.

You will eat every 2 to 3 hours and drink a minimum of 64 ounces of fluids per day.  With this method, weight loss happens fast.  You should begin shedding 2 to 5 pounds per week.  Your calorie levels will be low and your cravings will be gone.  The Medifast program is also low in carbohydrates and maintains long-term results.

This diet program is combined with the proper amounts of protein and carbohydrates made to increase your metabolism while saving your lean muscle.  You will not regain the weight you have lost throughout the program because your body will continue to metabolize the body’s fat.

Overall, by consuming smaller meals within 2 hour intervals you can be accustomed to different more suitable kind of living.  Medifast is also convenient and your taste buds will be satisfied.  Your energy levels will increase during the program and within a few days, you will feel better about yourself.

Medifast works, but you have to be 100% committed to doing “whatever it takes” to stick with it. You can learn to tolerate the taste of the supplements, but they definitely don’t taste like “food”. If you cheat at all, it’s hard to get back on the wagon because once your tastebuds remember the taste of real food you realize how bad the supplements really are.

Great advice. Losing weight is no easy task.

It is a good diet, and you will lose quickly if you stick to it 100%. That means NO extra food. No extra carbs. I have found that if I go off for one day, the scale shoots up the next day - even if I didn’t overdo it. I think the success of the diet is premised on some sort of internal chemical process. I can cheat with only 200 extra calories and have only about 1250 for the whole day (even with the cheat) and my loss is minimal. So, if you want to lose on this program do NOT cheat at all or it is the kiss of death for your success.
