			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Northern California researchers believe that a diet enriched with <strong>low-fat diary foods will help most people live a healthier life</strong>.  Studies have shown that out of 22 to 45 volunteers that do not smoke and are roughly 60 pounds over weight, when consuming more dairy foods in every meal, results are rapid weight loss.  </p>
<p>However, previous studies conducted elsewhere proclaimed that calcium was the main factor that caused people to lose unwanted fat.  With the new research and past research, physiologist Marta D. Van Loan, believes in only focusing the on the number of servings of dairy foods being consumed every day.  </p>
<p>Within the study some volunteers will consume only one serving of low-dairy foods in a meal or snack for three whole weeks.  For the next 12 weeks the volunteers will either stay on the one serving of dairy foods a day plan or start the high diary foods plan, where they will consume three servings of dairy foods per day.   </p>
<p>For example one serving of dairy foods will equal either two ounces of cheese, one glass of milk or one cup of yogurt.  So, the main dairy foods consumed are, milk, cheese and yogurt.  This study expects to have preliminary results by Spring of 2008.  Research takes awhile and with obesity gradually rising in numbers, this study hopes to shed some light to the future’s epidemic.    </p>
<p>Van Loan is based at the agency&#8217;s Western Human Nutrition Research Center, Davis, Calif. She&#8217;s doing the work with ARS physiologist Sean H. Adams and chemist Nancy L. Keim, both of the nutrition center, and with co-investigators at the University of California-Davis, UC Davis Medical Center, and Iowa State University at Ames.</p>

When it comes to finding protein sources that do not contain the cholesterol and fat content found in meat products, people are beginning to rediscover tofu. And as a way to integrate tofu into every day life, people continue to add each tofu recipe that they find into their stockpile of delicious dishes.</p>
<p>Tofu is a soybean based product made from curds that are pressed into useable blocks that can be used in a tofu recipe. Soft tofu, derived directly from soy milk, is extremely moist; because of its similarity to custard, it is often used as an ingredient in a tofu recipe for dessert. Firm tofu, that contains less moisture, holds its shape and is conducive to a main dish tofu recipe. Dried tofu has the lowest moisture content and is most like meat in its texture. When used in a tofu recipe, dried tofu is often crumbled, sliced, or pressed into noodles. Tofu has very little natural flavor; the reason people enjoy it is because the tofu found in a tofu recipe actually absorbs the flavors of the other ingredients in the dish.</p>
<p>The health benefits of eating a tofu recipe are numerous. High in protein and low in calories, tofu also contains no cholesterol. Research has shown that the soy protein found in tofu may go a long way towards reducing heart disease.</p>
<p>But the benefits of making a tofu recipe extend beyond the health benefits - which are numerous. Tofu can be frozen making it a convenient ingredient for those throw together meals. In many cases tofu can be used as a substitute in any recipe that traditionally calls for meat. Suddenly a meat-based recipe becomes a tofu recipe. Tofu can also be made into a puree and used as a dairy substitute in any tofu recipe.</p>
<p>Tofu is nothing if not versatile; it can be served fried, stewed, raw, grilled, stir fried, in soups, or in filling or stuffing. But no matter what your taste in food, you will likely find a tofu recipe to suit you.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Based on the popular reality television show, <strong>The Biggest Loser Club</strong> is an online diet program which was created to provide helpful information to the average person.  Not only will this weight loss program provide nutritional facts, but it is also an online community with interactive support. </p>
<p>This diet program was developed around the contestant’s experiences on the show and there inspirational stories intrigued me to inquire more into The Biggest Loser Club.  I was a fan of the show and really wanted to deal with my problems on a different level.  This unique program allowed me to do that and honestly you cannot get better results for anything less than 5 dollars per week.</p>
<p>In addition, there are several photos that provide personal reviews on the weight loss program and prove each person’s weight loss.  You can really tell that this program changed their lives just like it changed mine.  The Biggest Loser Club provides encouragement to remain on the diet because of discipline and support.  Committing to a new lifestyle will give you long term motivation. </p>

<p>Most low carb diets fail because people tend to give up easily and slack 75 percent of the time.  However this is not an actual diet, it is more like a program including strong sensible eating habits, guidance on how to transform your body physically as well as mentally and spiritually, while being accountable for all the decisions you make. </p>
<p>In addition, the program has excellent helpful healthy recipes and inspirational testimonies.  Within the Prism diet, you will attack your struggle against overeating head on and continually be in touch with your inter spirituality.  You will take verses from the bible and also go through a daily devotional workbook lesson about 5 minutes a day.</p>
<p>The Bible will explain some of the reasons why we overeat and certain ways to overcome bad eating habits to transform your body.  Controlling the weight is just part of the process.  Learning to find your weaknesses will make you stronger and more reliant on nourishing your body.  You will have to allow your body to get use to not eating your favorite sweets, like chocolate cake and apple pie.  This is not temporary, it is forever and that is why it is so important to follow through with the program.  If you consume high carbs and sweets, the pounds will come back over time.    </p>
<p>Overall, because the program offers several aspects, such as physical, mental and spiritual, weight loss is able to occur.  The Prism Diet is not for anyone and is only recommended for devoted individuals.  This program will change your life for the better, but can overwhelm you at first.  Don’t give up and stay with it for fantastic results.   </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The <strong>Sonoma Diet</strong> was inspired by the Mediterranean Diet and the Food Guide Pyramid.  This newer diet program focuses on consuming fruit vegetables, beans, pasta, whole grains, nuts and seeds.  Within the diet, you will also consume dairy products, such as cheese and yogurt in smaller amounts, while eating the occasional animal protein.  With the proper food proportions for breakfast, lunch and dinner using the plate-and-bowl concept, eating can be easier.  </p>
<p>The plate-and-bowl concept in detail is really just using a 7-inch plate for breakfast and using a 9-inch plate for both, lunch and dinner.  You will no longer have to count calories or measure calories with this unbelievable method.  Within the Sonoma Diet there are three waves or stages that keep you on the right track.</p>
<p>Wave 1 focuses on the importance of decreasing sugars, refined flour products and all other foods that absorb quickly into the body.  The first effect you will get from this stage is the feeling of water leaving the body.  Most of the weight that you will lose will be water weight.  Once the water has escaped the body, fat pounds can shed.  This is very common in low carb diets. </p>
<p>The primary stage of the diet is Wave 2, which can actually be the longest stage because until your weight loss goal has been achieved, you can not move to the last stage.  Within this stage you will lose approximately 1 to 2 pounds per week and focus on eating slowly while enjoying your food.    </p>
<p>Wave 3 is the maintenance stage of the program.  Within the final wave you will have met your weight loss goal and have experienced Sonoma friendly foods.  Overall, after losing the weight you had always desired to, you can improve your health and control your food proportions. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Consuming food and losing weight is a little harder than we actually think it is and the time of day that you are consuming your food really matters.  It is vital that you change the times during the day that you are eating and there is a plan that will help you.  It is called the <strong>Reverse Diet</strong>.  Not complicated and a great way to drop in size.</p>
<p>The Reverse Diet actually reverses the calories that you may have been consuming before.  What I mean by that, is usually you may have a small breakfast, small lunch and a decent size meal for dinner where you are consuming of your calories in the evening or even at night.  With this diet plan, you will start to consume most of your calories in the morning and afternoon.</p>
<p>So, your low calories are going to be consumed in the evening when you have dinner.  Studies show that by reversing your calorie intake, your body now will be active during the day and burn more calories.  Physical activity is usually not apart of your evening routine like it may be during the day, so the more active you are during the day, the more calories you will burn. </p>
<p>The large amount of calories that you will be consuming during the day will burn much quicker because of your active body.  Once you have had dinner and consumed a lower amount of calories, it will be harder to burn them off because you are mostly inactive.</p>
<p>Overall, switching your eating cycles will effect the body long term and provide weight loss guarantee.  You may not have a huge appetite during the morning, but as soon as you consume food your body will be use to it.  Your body needs to be fueled by food and just a little extra food in the first part of your day will not hurt.  The Reverse diet will also improve dramatically on the amount of energy your body has.  Living this way will change your life.     </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>The Egg diet</strong> is a diet that will allow you to consume unlimited amounts of eggs, meat and fat.  Unlimited amounts of fat, is that possible?  Critics were skeptical at first, but in fact it is.  Once the stored fat is converted into glucose, the glucose then fuels the body and burns fat directly.</p>
<p>A high-protein, low carb diet will digest into the system a lot easier and produce glucose, so the calories burn faster.  When fat is stored in the body it can produce glucose, but it is a much slower process.  You want to reduce the amount of carbs that you consume to barely any carbs at all. </p>
<p>As soon as you have done that, you can continue to consume fat in your regular diet.  Within this diet you can consume as much protein as you want such as, cheese, eggs and meat.  The calories that you consume are irrelevant, so do not pay much attention if you are increasing your calorie intake.</p>
<p>During the diet, you can also consume as many vegetables as long as they are not starchy or sweet.  Basically, you want to stay away from baked potatoes and munch on a salad with your specialty dressing.  Unfortunately, breads and pastas are off limits as well. </p>
<p>The egg diet may be hard to adjust to for the first week because your body may not be use to how hard your digestive will work when you are on the diet.  You may also feel very weak and begin to shake, but don’t worry this is normal.  Usually, everyone experiences these side effects and if they do not it is because their food consumption contains too many carbs.</p>
<p>Typically, the average person on the diet has 4 to 6 fried eggs, 1 to 2 sausage links and some bacon for breakfast.  You also want to hydrate your body with as much water as possible.  Stay away from soda, even diet soda because it contains artificial sweetener.  Artificial sweeteners are very bad for you and do not convert into glucose.</p>
<p>Overall, this will help you lose weight, but may have a bad effect on your body in the beginning.  You will lose weight within the first month because your body will continue to lose weight.  Most weight will be water weight and you will lose it rather quickly.  I personally would recommend this diet over the Atkins Diet for short term weight loss.     </p>
